Most species of North American Bats are insectivores, eating from 3,000 to 7,000 insects nightly. Our bat habitats are proven effective because each one is manufactured with a unique roughened surface which bats can easily cling to. These houses are solidly constructed for warmth, insulation and durability and open at the bottom so they need no cleaning and the birds will not nest in them.

Sunshine's Bat House

Amanda Lollar, bat behavioral expert, designed this special house.  It has been tested and approved by the occupants of her bat sanctuary.  With two chambers and a slot opening at the bottom, this abode is suitable for all species of small, insectivorous bats.  Features include a large landing platform, screened interior and echo-location slots on the sides to help bats locate the hollow cavity.  With houses of different widths, can accomodate colonies of up to 100, 200 or 300.
