Worm composting is an incredibly efficient way to convert kitchen scraps such as newspaper, junk mail, vegetables, fruits, egg shells, coffee grounds, paper and cardboard into nutrient-rich compost for your garden. The Worm Factory's® unique stackable, multi-tray design makes it the most efficient worm bin composter around. Worms begin eating waste in the lowest tray, and then migrate upward as food sources in that tray are exhausted. By allowing worms to migrate upward, the worms separate themselves from the finished compost that is ready for the garden.
Besides the worm castings that are produced through this process, the Worm Factory® also produces a second type of compost. As waste is broken down, moisture filters through your factory of worms, dragging nutrient-rich particles with it. This liquid fertilizer, know as leachate is gathered in the special collection tray of the Worm Factory® and can easily drained from the spigot.

Shipping: The Worm Factory® is shipped via UPS Ground Service (USPS for AK & HI). Please select "Ground Service (Worm Factory Only)" when checking out your order. Orders are shipped within 1-2 business days. Each Worm Factory® unit is shipped separately. Please allow approximately 2-7 days for delivery depending on destination zone. Worm starter packs are shipped a few days after the composting system is delivered.
Recommended start-up worm population:
1-2 lbs. of worms is recommended for starting up a Worm Factory® Composting System. 1 lb. of worms for a 3-Tray, 1-2 lbs. for a 4-Tray, and 2 lbs. for a 5-Tray system.

Starter Worm Shipments: Redeemable Worm Coupon shipped with Worm Factory 360 Composting System. You can redeem worm coupon anytime after the Worm Factory is delivered. This will give you time to read the Worm Factory start-up manual before the worms arrive.
Note: Red Wigglers (Red Worms) are great composting worms, prolific breeders and make an excellent fish bait or live food for pets. Red Wigglers are approximately 1-1/2" to 3" in length. Worm sizes will vary. There are approximately 450-600 Red Wigglers per lb. depending on the size of the worm.
