America's smallest woodpecker species, the Downy is a backyard favorite. Downys tend to use nest boxes in the winter as roosts to escape the cold. Comes standard with a slate squirrel guard and wood chips. Constructed from quality Eastern White Pine. Made in the USA!

These pine shavings provide an annual replenishment of nesting material for woodpeckers, ducks, owls, etc. Better than sawdust, which can mat down and retain moisture. Sold by the gallon bag for individual houses.
